MESSAGE FROM THE LAUGH GARAGE COMEDY CLUB

As of 9th February 2011, The Laugh Garage Comedy Club has a new partner. After 10 years of supporting and working to provide a great comedy venue for Sydney, Tony Bailey has transferred his share of the business to Paul Warnes.

Tony has asked me to pass on his thanks to everyone who has supported ‘The Garage’ in the past. He appreciates the help you have all given and he looks forward to thanking you all personally when he sees you next. However, for family reasons, he will be relocating back to his hometown of Perth within the next few months, so he may not see you for some time.

We at The Laugh Garage would like to thank Tony for his contribution to comedy and wish him well for the future.

We would also like the thank for their support over the past 10 years Enza Sanders, Jodie Bailey & Peter Meisel, who also left the business last year, for his contribution and support over the past 6 years.

Paul will bring with him valuable marketing skills and new energy to help revitalized the club. He has 135 kgs of enthusiasm for comedy and is making a huge commitment to help make The Laugh Garage the best entertainment venue in Australia.

Julie Lawless will continue in her role as Manager of the club.

This year we have changed the look and feel of comedy - providing a larger scope of entertainment - which so far has been extremely successful for the club.

Our doors open at 7pm and at 8pm we provide pre-show entertainment in the way of live jazz/blues music for 50 minutes. Our comedy shows now go from 9pm until around 10.10pm with, usually, 2x15min acts and a feature act for 35min. Immediately after the comedy portion of the night, the band continues. This formula has, over the last 6 weeks, proven to be very popular with both the comics who have already performed here this year and our audience.
